Testimony of Indra, Spain – Mission in Bolivia

“The mission is life, and God helps us live it with peace and joy”
Hello from Bolivia. It has been a month and a half and I do not know if it is really like I came two weeks ago or I spent here all my life. The truth is that time passes quickly, and almost without realizing I have already spent half of the allotted time … and although the reception was wonderful and everything has gone smoothly in the community and in projects of my collaboration, in a more constant (the schoolhouse and prison) and other less frequently (crafts and imaynalla) it seems that now is when I’m taking more confidence and security, both with people and with the “tasks” … All projects are beautiful, I fell in love with children, I am moved by computer classes in prison, ladies crafts amazes me and imaynalla guys remind me VMY youth (they have nothing to do with them, but working with this ages makes them come to my mind …). I was also able to share with the guys from one of the homes of Dawn, a Mass and the carnival on Sunday, 6th March, I’ve gone with them to parade (like the parade of carnival type here more infantile) accompanying the children dancing in the sun (finally the sun starts shining but it does not mean it stops raining) and also suffering the foam and water, because there is no carnival if you do not get wet lol. It was fun, and pretty, especially the illusion of sharing with them and spending a little time together.
It is true that God seems to be hidden, He is not in the mouth of all (nor mine) all the time, but is felt throughout everything and is within everyone and although there are situations so serious that it seems almost impossible to discover Him in the middle of such pain, even there people still have faith and there is still seeing God…
Being here is truly a gift, learn, share, live … I think not so much a matter of what you can do, to come and help … but what you can build and share with people, living every moment and every second with every person and every situation that the Lord is bringing into your life.
It’s not a dream, it’s better than that, it’s to discover what life is, what peace is; and I live it with serenity and joy.
May the light of the Lord continue guiding our lives and those of our brothers and especially those with whom we share a project, service, commitment to continue building the Kingdom of Love!

A hug.
