VISIT TO CURITIBA, 2008

On April 18 the Province of Curitiba was visited by Yasmine Cajuste. The group of VMY de las Mercês warmly welcomed her. On April 19, Yasmine met the groups of the Curitiba Region (3Groups). After listening the President’s talk, they celebrated the Eucharist and shared a very happy lunch. About 120 VMY members participated. In the afternoon, while the Regional Encounter continued, Yasmine went to Cruzeiro do Oeste.

On April 20 she was welcomed by the local Presidents of the present groups, by around 200 members and by some Sister Advisors. This second gathering was developed with a lively atmosphere full of joy, and sharing.

At the end of the afternoon, Yasmine went to Foz do Iguaçu, where she was welcomed by one of the groups of the city. The morning after, they shared a very special breakfast with chants and tributes. Yasmine took advantage of her stay in this city to visit the famous Foz de Iguaçu Falls, the “Frame of the three borders” (Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay) and Ciudad Del Este (Paraguay). When she returned to Curitiba, Yasmine met the Provincial Council of the Daughters of Charity and then the VMY Provincial Council. It was a great opportunity to reflect and share the reality of the Association the Vincentian Family of the Province.

On April 24, she continued her trip towards Rio de Janeiro, the second Province she will cover during this long visit to Brazil.
