Dear friends of the VMY International Secretariat,
 I would like to share with you the great joy that filled us upon the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to our country. It was his 2nd international apostolic trip and indeed, it was an honor for us. The Pope wanted to retrace the route of John Paul II, the places related with his predecessor.
This pilgrimage of Pope Benedict XVI was for us a great spiritual experience. His homilies and homage constituted a richness that we, the Church of Poland, wish to deepen, interiorize and savor more in time.
The atmosphere of the encounter was marvelous. We participated above all, in the encounter with the young people (on May 27-28, from Saturday evening to Sunday) held at the great stage of Blonia Meadow where a solemn yet cheerful mass was celebrated. On Friday we also went to the Metropolitan Curia of Krakow where, from the famous window the Holy Father greeted the young people, rousing much enthusiasm in their hearts and hope among those who were present.
I participated in the activities together with our Seminary Sisters and Postulants. When the Pope arrived in the stage in Blonie, the sun came out and it accompanied us until it set in the evening. In this place we can find some VMY members of Zywiec. Other groups also participated on their own initiative. I am attaching some photos which may “translate or describe” some of the experiences we have had, although a photo can never transmit the life that there is behind this experience.
