Visit of the Director General

On June 4, after his participation, together with our International President, to the AMM Spain National Assembly, our Director General, Fr. Gregory Gay C.M. had an encounter with the International Secretariat members in order to bid farewell to those members who shall be ending their service soon. The said encounter was held at the residence of the youth volunteers.

To start off, we had a Eucharistic Celebration of the Pentecost wherein Fr. Gregory invited us to deepen the work of the Holy Spirit, which inspires unity in the midst of diversity, as well learn new languages to communicate to others our experience with Jesus, the language of love and of service. Afterwards a one-on-one interview with the members who shall be culminating their service to the Secretariat this summer followed. This was done to evaluate and thank each one personally for the service and dedication that they have rendered. The following are: Sr. Asuncion Garcia, Pamela Mantuhac, Dorys Castillo and Gustavo Gomez.

Finally, we shared an agape in an atmosphere of joy and brotherhood during lunch wherein Tomas Aznar, a member of VMY Spain who collaborates as a volunteer in the area on projects also joined us. At 5:00 p.m., Fr. Gregory returned to Rome to continue with his usual day-to-day tasks in the General Curia. Let us give thanks to God for the generous dedication of Sr. Asun, Pamela, Dorys and Gustavo as well as pray for the new group of volunteers who will be joining the Secretariat starting September 1.
