VMY Kenya, headed by their National president Anthony Okwata and his council, guided by their priest advisor Father Joseph Namanda, CM are taking care of 42 tribes of the Vincentian Marian Youth in their country.
Every twice a month, on Sundays, they regularly visit the poor, take care of the sick, pray together with them, especially the street children of Forkland and Nabing'eng'e. This has been their apostolate as members of the Vincentian Marian Youth.
Last September 27, in celebration of the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul and in a true practice of the Vincentian Charism, they have decided to visit St. Kizito Matisi Kitale. The celebration started with a holy mass followed by the festivity after. They brought food, ate with the street children, spent time with them, talked with them and even danced with them!
The VMY group ended the celebration by sharing some clothes to the street children. Everyone went home with a happy heart and fulfilled souls.
As what St. Vincent taught us, the poor are our masters and what better way to celebrate his feast by being with them.
